    This was a strange period for Nasir. He was operating off of the fumes that came with slaying the indestructible Jay-Z (The victor can be debated, and I’ve come around to the “Takeover” was better side of the argument, but “Ether” is a verb now. Nas won) and following up an album that was his best in years. I don’t know what crazy shit I would say if my mother died, so all is pardoned, I guess.
